Confidentiality

Your privacy is guaranteed in all aspects of your contact with Life Unlimited, in line with Data Protection legislation. Any personal details you provide are stored securely, never passed on to others and are only used for the purpose they were provided.

The nature of e-mail communications are open to interception so I would discourage clients from disclosing private matters using this medium and would encourage them to discuss personal information about their reasons for therapy during the phone consultation instead.

I honour full client confidentiality within the boundaries of English law and according to the code of ethics established by my professional body.

In terms of confidentiality, none of the information that we cover during our hypnotherapy sessions will be disclosed to anyone else in any format. I will not reveal that you are a client or speak about any of the issues we have covered during therapy. I make brief written notes during our therapy sessions which are then stored securely.

My professional body recommends that hypnotherapists undertake clinical supervision from another qualified hypnotherapist to ensure that high standards of practice are maintained and I honour this requirement. I may speak about general client issues with my supervisor, but never discuss any details that would reveal a client’s identity. This is considered acceptable under the strict confidentiality policy laid down by my professional association.
