What coaching credentials do you hold?

What happens during each session?
Coaching is an exciting process of self-discovery where I will help you clarify your direction to a more fulfilling life, whilst providing ongoing encouragement and support to help you get there. I am trained in a range of approaches and able to coach on the deeper issues that are holding you back, enabling you to make positive changes to your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
When you attend for coaching, I will help you explore what a fulfilling life would mean for you and figure out a step-by-step approach for getting there. By learning how to psyche yourself up rather than psyche yourself out, you will generate solutions and feel inspired to try new ways of approaching life. Most importantly, you will develop an optimistic outlook and have the enthusiasm to make positive changes.
Personal coaching has become increasingly popular and there are a number of different approaches, with some training courses only lasting a weekend. I am a graduate from one of the most comprehensive UK coach training programs that meets the requirements of the longest established coaching body, the International Coach Federation. As a Master Practitioner of NLP, I also have a deep understanding of the process of change and a range of techniques to help you succeed. My experience as a hypnotherapist means I am sensitive towards emotional issues and my holistic approach means I recognise the importance of personal growth in developing your potential. I have several years experience using coaching to help people feel better, clarify their goals and achieve exciting life changes.
By increasing your ability to focus positively, I will help you develop a perspective on life that brings you happiness, confidence and a sense of achievement. This involves transforming your beliefs and developing greater self-appreciation so you no longer believe in self-imposed limitations. Coaching is also about taking action and as we work on the things that are important to you, your motivation to generate meaningful changes in your life will increase.
Our coaching sessions will not only improve your life when we meet. The great news is that when you feel better about life, life will meet you half way. You will be amazed at the ideas, opportunities and circumstances that unfold as you enjoy the benefits of coaching.
The first step if you are thinking about meeting with me for coaching is to speak to me for a free telephone consultation. This will allow both of us to decide whether I am the right person for you. It is important to feel at ease with your coach and a phone conversation will allow you to decide whether you want to pursue things further. I do not try to persuade clients to work with me when we speak on the phone; I want clients to choose to work with me for the right reasons. You are welcome to think things through after we speak and contact other coaches before deciding whether to book an appointment.

I work with clients on personal and business coaching and although there are a few differences, the process is very similar. Coaching is very flexible as it can be carried out over the phone or face-to-face and both ways of working are effective.
During our first session I will get to know you better and will ask some questions to understand how best to help you. We will explore how you feel about the limitations in your life, where you feel things are going well and the positive outcomes you would like to achieve as a result of coaching. There are some specific techniques I use to help gain an overview of your life or business, such as using some assessment tools to help focus on the different aspects and see where things are out of balance. We will also discover your strengths, identify your values and establish your core beliefs about yourself.
I will answer any questions you have and explain the approaches we will be using in our sessions together. We can talk about your expectations and how many sessions we are planning to have. I will be using my coaching and NLP skills during the intake session which will begin the process of positive change. By the end of the session, you will already have started to make positive changes and will have more confidence in your ability to achieve the outcome you desire.
Each session will involve setting an intention for a topic to work on within the timeframe. The information we gathered in the first session will help us establish your priorities and decide where to begin. I use a range of techniques to help you make changes on all levels and you will experience positive shifts in your perspectives on life. The real benefit of coaching is in helping you move through decision, to commitment, to motivation, to action. We are aiming to get you to make behavioural changes that will have a positive impact so you will also be taking action in between sessions and seeing measurable benefits in your life.
Coaching is usually undertaken for a minimum of 3 months, but I do not set up contracts with clients so you are free to stay with coaching as long or as short a time as you wish. There may come a time when you feel you have achieved everything you desire from the coaching relationship and are ready to move on. Some clients have a specific goal and when this is accomplished, they are happy to end their coaching sessions. I also have clients who enjoy long-term benefits from coaching, because life happens every day, and there is no end to our capacity to grow.
