Reiki Attunement Courses

Receiving an attunement to reiki is a wonderful decision to make and one that people are increasingly drawn towards.  Many people report lasting benefits following their reiki attunement and find it strengthens their connection to their inner wisdom.  It is believed that once a reiki attunement has been received, the energy body of the recipient vibrates at a higher frequency and this effect is maintained and enhanced through regular self-treatments using reiki.  People who use reiki regularly often find improvements in emotional and physical health.

Our one day reiki attunement courses are offered at three levels.  We recommend that you wait at least three months between each attunement level to allow an informed decision to be made and to settle your mind and body to the influence of the energy at each level.  If you wish to progress through reiki at a quicker pace we will discuss this option on an individual basis.

After receiving a level one reiki attunement you will be able to offer treatments to your family and friends or as a profession if you continue to the higher attunement levels.  Animals are likely to enjoy and benefit from reiki energy, Leone has 2 cats who often purr when receiving reiki.   When treating animals it is important not to force treatment on them, if the animal is struggling or walks away then it has had enough.  Reiki is also safe to use on children although as with animals it is important not to force a treatment on a child and to be responsive to signs of restlessness. Reiki Level One

This course level is designed for carrying out reiki treatments on yourself, friends and family members.  You will learn about  the background of reiki, including how it was discovered and how it can be used.  A technique for grounding  and relaxing yourself will be introduced to allow you to live more easily in  the present moment and thus find it easier to follow the reiki principles in your daily life.  You will receive an attunement to the first degree of reiki and this will open a life-long channel to receiving reiki, allowing the energy to flow through your hands whenever you choose to use it.  You will then learn how to carry out a reiki treatment and will practice treating other members of the course.  Finally, the day will draw to a close and any further questions can be discussed.

Reiki Level Two

This course deepens your connection to the reiki energy and allows you to become a reiki practitioner.  Before attending this course it is recommended that you carry out self-treatments on a regular basis and it is helpful if you have some experience of providing reiki treatments to family and friends.  A guided meditation will be used to relax and prepare you for your second degree attunement to reiki.  You will learn how to send distant treatments with reiki and will learn how to draw three reiki symbols and to recite their sacred names.  These symbols are for increasing reiki power, healing on the mental/emotional level and sending distant healing.  You will learn how and when to use these symbols.  You will also learn the practical and ethical issues relating to becoming a reiki practitioner.

Reiki Level Three (Master)

Although this is not the case with many reiki masters, we only offer reiki masters level to those who have completed one of the earlier courses with ourselves, to ensure there is a good match between teacher/student.  At this level, you will learn about the Japanese reiki tradition and some of the practices that can enhance your connection to reiki energy and ensure you protect yourself against unwanted energetic influences.  You will learn to draw the Master Symbol and how to use its mantra (sacred name) to connect with your  Higher Self.  Following a meditation to connect you more deeply with you own life purpose, you will receive the Master Level attunement and this will prepare you to teach reiki to others.

Reiki Level Three (Teacher)

This level can be taken the day after your master level attunement or you can choose to wait a while longer.  This level prepares you for teaching reiki to others and provides full course notes should you choose to do so.  You will learn how to carry out the initiations that open the channel for others to receive reiki at each level.  You will also learn some essential teaching methods to enhance your communication skills and credibility as a reiki teacher as well as covering professional membership options and ethical codes of conduct.
